Laodicea Ancient City
Laodicea is a Hellenistic-Roman city about 15 km from Pamukkale. It was one of the Seven Churches of Revelation in the New Testament, making it a pilgrimage site for Christian visitors. Extensive excavations have uncovered temples, a stadium, colonnaded streets and early Christian basilicas.
How to get there: 15 km (about 20 min drive) from Sinter Terasse Hotel. Hotel reception can arrange a driver.
Practical tips: The site is large and open — bring water, hat and good shoes. Allow 2 hours.
