Karahayıt Red Springs
The Karahayıt Red Springs ('Kırmızı Su') are mineral-rich thermal waters that colour the surrounding rocks deep red-orange, thanks to high iron content. Unlike the pure-white Pamukkale travertines, Karahayıt offers a striking red-orange landscape with therapeutic spring water.
Located about 5 km from Sinter Terasse Hotel, this lesser-known site is popular for its thermal therapy properties. You can dip fingers or feet into the spring water and see the distinctive colouring up close.
Best visited in combination with Pamukkale travertines as a half-day trip.
